We had a full house at the Winter Cooking Workshop on Sunday, February
10th. We started by making CCF (cumin, coriander, fennel) tea with ginger and
drank it while we prepared the meal. We made Basic Mung Dal, Rice Pilau,
Vegetable Korma Curry and Korma Powder/Churna, and Fresh Coriander Chutney. Below are some pictures of the food and meal preparation.
The next Cooking Workshop will be on Sunday, March 10th from 1:30 to 4:30.

Signs of spring are around us. My snowdrops are in bloom, and the
daffodils are starting to come up! Mother Earth is preparing for spring, and we
should as well.
This coming Saturday, March 2nd I am teaching a Spring Cleanse workshop
with Debbie Martin at the Yoga Center of Columbia. We will talk about how to
prepare for a healthy spring and provide guidance if one wants to embark on a
Spring Cleanse, with recipes included. If you do not yet have plans, consider
coming, it is from 1 to 4 pm. Registration is through the Yoga Center.
Another spring event I am planning is a Cooking for a Healthy
Spring workshop on Sunday, April 7th at my house. It will be from 1:30
to 4:30. We will talk about eating to stay healthy in the new season, and the
recipes will include those that you can use for a Spring Cleanse, like kitchari
