Recipe for a great winter snack

Simple cooked apple and pear.
This is a great recipe for a late winter snack, especially in mid to late afternoon. It also can be eaten for breakfast.
Ingredients:
1 apple or 1/2 apple and 1/2 pear, sliced but not peeled.
2 to 3 teaspoons of ghee
pinch of salt
cinnamon and cardamom to taste: I use about 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon and a few shakes of cardamom.

Melt the ghee in a small frying pan, and add salt. Add the fruit in one layer, coating it with the ghee. Sprinkle the cinnamon and cardamom over the apples/pears. Cover the pan and let the fruit cook on low heat for 5 to 10 minutes depending on weather you like it firm or soft. Put it in a bowl and enjoy! Serves 1.
