Poems

Here is a short poem from one of my favorite yoga poets, Danna Faulds.
When the Bubble Bursts
Active mind seeks answers,
quiet mind embraces silence.
Beneath both, thoughts
float like soap bubbles.
Iridescence rises for a moment.
then bursts,
leaving noting in its wake
but open space.

We say that yoga and Ayurveda are sister sciences. Here is a quote from a Rabbinic sage who lived in the Warsaw Ghetto in the 1940's that for me speaks to how they work together:

"It is preferable to begin work on consciousness from the bottom up. When we begin by purifying our bodies, our mindfulness develops as a natural consequence."
