Exciting Upcoming June events: Workshop with Seema Johari and Anushree and Ayurveda Support Circle

Save the dates for 2 exciting events in June, both at my house in Silver Spring, MD: 

Friday June 1st with Seema Johari and her daughter Anushree, from 1:30 to 5.  Come for an Ayurvedic lunch cooked by master chef Anushree and a workshop by Seema  on The Magic of Numbers and their Relationship with the Planets!

Tuesday, June 12 from 7:30 to 9:30 for the Ayurvedic Support Circle, for sharing and discussing practices for the summer season. 

Details of each event are as follows:

 The Magic of Numbers on June 1^st, fee is $60 which includes lunch and the workshop.

Seema is carrying on the work of her father, Harish Johari, who was a noted scholar of Tantra and Ayurveda, adept in painting, sculpture, numerology, yoga and the chakras. He authored more than 30 books on Eastern spirituality, including Chakras, Tools for Tantra; Breath, Mind, and Consciousness, Ayurveda Healing Cuisine and The Birth of the Ganga.

She runs an Ayurvedic Guest House in Haridwar, Johari House and is the founder of Spiritual Vacation.  Anu has been cooking since she was 9 and specializes in Ayurvedic Cooking and the Principles of Spices.

Join us to learn about the SCIENCE OF NUMBERS & their relationship with PLANETS.

Just like sound represents some information about a name, a person, a thing, what ever the object may be, numbers also have a system. Numbers help us understand many details: revealing the nature, the personality, the psychic, the destiny etc, of a person . The basis of numerology is that numbers have an "inner nature" and "vibration".

INDIAN NUMEROLOGY gives striking descriptions of the character and the destiny of people based on their birth date .

In this workshop we will discuss -

#How to determine the psychic number, destiny number and name number.

#How these numbers relate to each of the Nine Planets. 

#How they apply to every aspect of life - including personality , temperament , intelligence , spirituality , talents , health , travel etc.

#What are the various colors of the Day and their importance.

#We will also have an open Q/A session.

Ayurveda Support Circle on June 12^th, no charge.

Each season, Ayurveda teaches us how to adjust our diets and lifestyles to live in greater alignment and balance with the rhythms of nature. Please join me and Hannah Leatherbury on Tuesday, June 12th from 7:30 to 9:00 pm to share and discuss practices for the summer, chant an uplifting mantra or two, and enjoy a seasonally-inspired cup of herbal tea.

This gathering is a pilot for reviving the Ayurvedic Support Circle started by Belinda Baer several years ago. We hope to offer it seasonally to strengthen the bonds of those of us trying to practice Ayurveda in the metro-DC area. The gathering will be held at my home in Silver Spring.
