Massaging your Feet at Bedtime.
Give yourself the gift of a simple nurturing touch: massage your feet with a quality oil before going to bed. Massage is soothing for the feet and calms the nervous system, promoting a good night's sleep. I do it every night, and it is especially wonderful this time of year as the weather gets colder and drier. Use 1 to 2 Tablespoons of oil for each foot. Massage your toes, the sides and bottom of your foot as well as the tops, including your ankles. You can put a pair of white socks on when done.
You should use unrefined sesame oil or an oil infused with essential oils and herbs. Here is a picture of 2 kinds I like which you can order on-line. A third is a Vata massage oil from Banyan Botanicals which I will be selling soon.
