As staying at home continues, and we cannot get out to teach or take our
yoga classes in person, I encourage you, if you have not done so, to try classes
on-line. This helps keep studios afloat and helps yoga teachers and
practitioners maintain our sanity and strength and resolve during these
difficult times.
This Saturday, June 13th, I am teaching a workshop from 2 to 3:30
for Circle Yoga on Zoom called Yoga for Healthy Bones. It is for folks
who both have taken a class on building bone strength and want a refresher and
for those who have not taken a specific class before for strong bones.
Circle Yoga will continue to offer all their classes on Zoom for the summer
session which starts on June 22nd. And when you sign up for a class it
entitles you to take 2 live classes a week and as many recorded classes
as you wish. Please consider signing up for a class to help this lovely studio
keep going until we can open again for in person classes. I teach 2 classes a
week: Level 1 at 9 am on Mondays and Super Gentle (in which we start out
sitting in a chair instead of on a mat) on Thursdays from 11 to 12. I would be
delighted if you would join me.
For details about signing up for classes and for my workshop, please go to
https://circleyoga.com/. This is also
an opportunity for those who have moved away to take classes at Circle
again.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
I am also teaching a weekly class for Rock Creek Sports on Facebook live on
Thursdays from 6 to 7 pm. These are all recorded, and you can access it through
the Club’s Facebook page.
And, finally, I encourage you to make Hibiscus Cool
Mint Tea, which we drink all summer long. Please remember to drink
it cool and NOT ice cold! The recipe is in the recipe section of this blog, and you will also see a picture of it in the glass jar in which I make it. I will post more recipes next week!
Stay
cool!
