I had 2 Cooking Workshops in January: one open to all and one with a small
family group. I have attached pictures of the delicious food we prepared. If
they whet your appetite and interest in preparing Vegetarian Indian Food, I have
another workshop on Sunday, February 23rd from 2 to 5 pm. There are still some
openings, so contact me if interested at dhelfeld@starpower.net!
At both January Classes we started by making decaf chai. Then at the first
workshop we prepared Grounding Kitchari with Cabbage, Winter Root Vegetables
Poriyal, A Basic Raita, Date Tamarind Chutney and Sesame Seed Chutney. The
second group wanted to learn how to make Palak Paneer. The other dishes were
Rice Pilau, a Basic Mung Dal and Date Tamarind Chutney.
If you want to learn about how to keep your Bones Strong and Healthy, I
will be giving a workshop at Circle Yoga on Saturday, February 8th from 2 to 5
pm. We will explore how both yoga and diet can positively effect our bones.
