It is not too early to be thinking about foods to prepare as the weather
gets warmer. In the late spring and summer it is wonderful to be able to grow
our own or buy fresh local vegetables from one of the many farmers markets or by
joining a CSA.
Consider coming to my Indian Vegetarian Cooking Workshop on Sunday,
June 9th from 1:30 to 4:30 at my house in Silver Spring. We will take advantage of the season and
use fresh local ingredients in our food preparation!
This is a hands on workshop. Everyone helps cook the meal, and then we all
eat together in a calm and peaceful setting. Handouts include all the recipes,
good foods and practices for the summer season, where to find common ingredients
and some basic information about Ayurveda. Participants will also take home a
summer spice mix.

garden and one of the dishes cooked at a past June workshop.
