This article was in the food
section a few weeks ago.  Please take time to read it; it talks about the
deleterious effects of eating most breakfast cereals and what all that sugar
does to our bodies.  About 2/3 of the way through the author mentions a few
things she has for breakfast, and one was kitchari!  I make kitchari at least
once a week usually for lunch or/and dinner, but it is a great dish to have any
time.  For those of you who have been to one of my cooking workshops, you know
that we often make some kind of kitchari.   In general, I eat warm foods for
breakfast.
If you would like more ideas for
flavorful and healthy food to eat for breakfast, I am considering offering a
Cooking for Breakfast workshop in the fall.  We would fix several different
breakfast dishes, both simple and a little more complicated. One of my favorites that I make occasionally is Poha.
Let me know if you would be
interested!
